Project Overview

The development also includes a four-level, 1,420-car precast parking structure and landscaped areas designed for social interaction, pedestrian connectivity, and stormwater management. The project is expected to support up to 4,500 employees.

Schuff Steel played a key role in this ambitious build, delivering extensive preconstruction support, detailing, and fabrication services for Building 100, Building 200, and the Central Utility Plant (CUP).

Working closely with industry partners, Schuff helped navigate the complex geometry of the terraced roofline and ensured constructability of critical seismic elements throughout both buildings.

Schuff Steel’s Contributions:

  • Preconstruction, Modeling, and Detailing for all structural steel components
  • Fabrication and Erection of 10,400 tons of structural steel
  • Design Assist collaboration to address complex geometry of sloping green roofs
  • Integration of Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs) to enhance seismic performance

The campus is targeting LEED Gold certification and features energy-efficient systems, water conservation measures, and native landscaping, aligning with Google’s broader sustainability commitments. The visually striking design—complete with zigzagging terraces, rooftop gardens, and elevated pathways—reflects a progressive approach to workplace design while emphasizing environmental stewardship and user well-being.
