Project Overview
The project scope included construction of the core and shell as well as support facilities, administrative offices, QC laboratories, lab ware prep areas, and a dedicated shipping and receiving freezer for storing medications. The new distribution center was constructed near the company’s existing 296,000 sq. ft. fill-and-finish facility, originally completed in 2009.
Schuff Steel fabricated and erected 1,300 tons of structural steel for the project’s production and warehouse buildings. As the design evolved throughout construction, Schuff worked closely with trade partners to maintain coordination and quality, helping ensure project delivery remained on track.
By leveraging local suppliers and industry collaboration, Project Gutenberg became not only a technical achievement but also a key contributor to the regional economy and community inclusion.
